Female Suspect Wanted After Cat Thrown From Vehicle Dies

Evans, GA (WJBF) – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in identifying a female involved in a possible animal cruelty case.

On October 31, 2015, at approximately 4:48 p.m. a silver vehicle, possibly a Mercedes-Benz, pulled into the parking lot of the Dogwood Park Animal Clinic on Columbia Road. Someone in the passenger’s seat threw a cat wrapped in an orange blanket out of the car.

The cat exited the blanket and staggered a short distance before collapsing.

cat thrown from car 2A black female exited the driver’s seat, walked over and looked at the cat for a moment and then got back into the car and drove off.

The cat was later found dead by an employee of the clinic.

The tag on the vehicle was not visible from the clinic’s surveillance camera.
