ATLANTA (AP) – Officials say a plane has skidded off a runway at a metro Atlanta airport.
Capt. Eric Jackson with the DeKalb County Fire Department tells CBS 46 reports that the back landing gear folded up into the plane while landing at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport after 5 p.m. on Friday. As a result, the plane skidded off the runway.
Jackson says two people were on the plane, but neither person was hurt.
The airport is about 12 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. It’s also 23 miles northeast of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which is the busiest airport in the world.
