The Family Fun Day gave pet owners a chance to get their animals microchipped for $15 or vaccinated for $5. They also had a special adoption fee of $40. Some people made multiple trips to ensure all their pets were seen by the volunteer veterinarians. Animal Services says the money collected is put right back into their facility.

“Stuff to help the animals. Like food and get more vaccinations to help the community and get ready for the next one.”  Christopher Terry, a kennel attendant shift leader, told WJBF News Channel 6.

Animal Services says next year they hope to have 4 clinics at different community centers across the CSRA. We will keep you updated on those dates and locations.
