Aiken County Man Sought After Removing Electronic Monitoring Device Back In Custody

Aiken, SC (WJBF) – A man wanted on a General Sessions Court bench warrant in Aiken County is now in custody.

An Aiken County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson tells us, 50-year-old William Todd Sanders was captured Wednesday night and is currently being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.

He was wanted after reportedly removing his electronic monitoring device.

His original charge is Trafficking Methamphetamine/Cocaine, and he is also now facing a charge of Removing or Circumventing Operation of an Electronic Monitoring Device.


Aiken, SC (WJBF) – The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating a man who reportedly removed his electronic monitoring device.

The man is identified as 50-year-old William Todd Sanders.

Sanders is wanted for a General Sessions Bench Warrant. His original charge is Trafficking Methamphetamine/Cocaine, and he is also now facing a charge of Removing or Circumventing Operation of an Electronic Monitoring Device.

An Aiken County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson tells us that both of these charges are the result of Sanders being out on bond and removing his court ordered electronic monitoring device on Monday, November 16th.

Anyone with information on Sanders’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 803-648-6811. Individuals may also call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
