Trenton Man Accused Of Stealing More Than $50,000 In Jewelry From Aiken Home

Aiken, SC (WJBF) – A Trenton, South Carolina man has been arrested and charged in connection to a jewelry theft.

Lieutenant Jake Mahoney, with the Aiken Department of Public Safety, tells us that 32-year-old John Lennon Sharpe was arrested on Friday, November 13th and charged with Grand Larceny (more than $10,000).

The charges stem from a theft that happened on Friday, November 6th, on Highland Reserve Court, in Aiken.

Investigators have charged Sharpe with taking more than $50,000 worth of jewelry from the home.

Lt. Mahoney says that Sharpe was employed as a delivery person and used his position to steal from the victim while delivering merchandise to the home.

Investigators were able to recover all of the stolen jewelry and return it to the owner.
