Long lines and big sales all across the CSRA on Thanksgiving day.

Thousands of anxious shoppers beat the crowds and waited outside for hours to get the best deals in town.

Some of those waiting in line say, it’s the steals that draw people in, but it’s the tradition that keeps them coming back.

“It’s the company we have our friends and family come up here you know we just have Thankgiving up here this is our thanksgiving,” David Llewellyn said.

David Llewellyn was first in line at Best Buy which only costs him two days.

Felicia Rozelle says she loves coming out on Thanksgiving, because of the adrenaline rush.

“There was actually a group of us sitting out here doing a grill, we actually called it we have it now named as thirsty Thursday instead of black Friday,” Rozelle said.

No it’s not exactly Black Friday, It’s Thanksgiving and every year more and more people sacrifice a night at home for a night here.

And these shoppers won’t let anything stand in their way.

“We were both actually in the hospital until 4 o’clock in the morning and I woke up at 9 got my dad up and we headed down here,” Rozelle explained.

For some this is just the beginning. Llewellyn says he will be back tomorrow for some even bigger deals.
