Augusta, Georgia – A Veteran, out of work, is trying to make it to New Hampshire seeking a new life.
Bo White and his wife, Sharon, left Texas earlier this week. They are traveling more than 1700 miles to find work in another state after a friend told them his company was hiring.
On Saturday night, White and his wife stopped in Augusta and with no place to stay, they slept in their car. White says he noticed his tires were too slick to continue driving all the way to New Hampshire. On Sunday morning he was standing on the corner of Marks Church Road and Wrightsboro Road holding a sign.
The sign reads ‘Stranded Army Vet All I want For [Christ]mas is a couple of tires so we can get to N.H. for work!’
“Already several people that have gone by, that’s why when I was.. I had some tears in my eyes when you came by because already some of the people here, even though I’m a stranger did help me out with a few dollars so I’m thankful for that,” White told WJBF News Channel 6.
White says he currently has no phone, but if you would like to help him get to New Hampshire you can contact him through his wife’s email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
