Warrenton, GA (WJBF) – A third arrest has been made in connection with a double homicide that occurred in Warren County, Georgia earlier this year.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2015, the GBI was requested to assist the Warren County Sheriff’s Office with a homicide investigation that occurred at a residence in the 1600 block of Mitchell Road, in Warrenton. Deputies were dispatched to the Mitchell Road home in reference to an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that 47-year-old Barry Johnson, of Mitchell, Georgia, and 28-year-old of Warrenton, Georgia had been shot and killed. The GBI Region 7 Field Office responded and began conducting an investigation.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. Friday morning, GBI agents arrested 23-year-old DeAundre Javarus Ross, of Thomson, Georgia at the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office. Ross has been charged with two counts of Murder and he was released into the custody of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Ross’ arrest comes after the November 19th arrests of 22-year-old Donovan Raishad Fitts and 24-year-old Jermanique Vashon Franklin. Both Fitts and Franklin are from Thomson.
Both Fitts and Franklin were also charged with two counts of Murder relating to the deaths of Posley and Johnson.
