City leaders failed again to name a new director for the office of compliance.
Commissioners are divided on the two finalists with neither being able to get the needed six votes.
And though both candidates are qualified, some commissioners want to toss them out and start all over.
if we can’t come up with six vote for either one of the candidates then I think we need to go back and and start looking at some more candidates there could be an expense for reopening that position well what’s the alternative what’s the alternative,” says Commissioner Bill Fennoy.
A motion to re-open advertising for the compliance officer also failed to get the needed votes for approval so commissioners remain stuck.
