The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says it is awaiting autopsy results before commenting further on a shooting involving an off duty Richmond County deputy in south Augusta Friday afternoon.

Those autopsy results are still pending, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.

A spokesperson for the G.B.I. says off-duty Richmond County deputy, Alan Crispin, went to a home on Horseshoe Road to pick up his two children Friday afternoon.

Investigators believe Crispin got into an argument with 26-year-old Joshua Lee at the home, and that Lee pulled a gun and pointed it at Crispin.

They say Crispin then fired his gun, hitting Lee twice.

Lee later died from his injuries.
