(AUGUSTA,GA) Making it easier to keep track of Augusta’s tax dollars.
Last month we first told you about a proposed program for the city website that would provide up to date information on the status of sales tax projects and provide details on how departments are spending their budgets
Programs that provide this software could cost the city as much as 30 thousand dollars a year.
This program however is being developed by the the city’s information and technology department at no extra costs to the taxpayer.\
” It would actually open the window up so people can look into our government Sean Frantom has been heading this up hopefully tomorrow we’ll have an answer and try to move forward where it doesn’t cost the the taxpayer anything,” says Commissioner Wayne Guilfoyle.
The IT Department is calling the program City Watch and is scheduled to demonstrate the program for the commission Administrative Services committee at its meeting on Tuesday.
