AUGUSTA, GEORGIA – Heal-toe, do-si-do come on baby let’s go boot scootin’ for a good cause!
Our very own WJBF crew helped raised money for the American Red Cross of Augusta’s 22nd annual Boot Scoot Boogie Bash.
The sold out event helps the American Red Cross with supplies they need to better serve the community and their goal this year is to raise $100,000 dollars.
“I think probably the biggest thing that folks are probably familiar with is us our support in those local fires. We support 15 counties locally and there is probably pretty much a fire everyday and the Red Cross is one of the first agencies, actually the first agency there to help.” Chan O’Dell, Chairman Boot Scoot Boogie, told WJBF News Channel 6.
Many of the items auctioned off were donated by local vendors. All of the money raised Saturday night stays in the CSRA.
