Since the Boil Water Advisory in Richmond County currently extends through 10:00am on Thursday, the Richmond County School System has decided to close school for Thursday, February 11, 2016. “Safety is always the primary concern for our children in the Richmond County School System,” said Superintendent Dr. Angela Pringle. “At the end of the day, we cannot risk exposing any children to possible unknown contaminants in the water that may cause serious health issues.”

Any possible make up days will be determined at a later date.
All 11- and 12-month Richmond County School System employees are expected to report to work on February 11, 2016 at regular times.
