COLUMBUS, Ga. – Augusta University women’s basketball head coach Nate Teymer was named the Peach Belt Co-Coach of the Year, the conference announced Friday night at the PBC Awards Banquet. This is the second PBC Coach of the Year award for Teymer in the last four seasons. He shares this year’s honor with Columbus State head coach Jonathan Norton.

Augusta senior Kariel Hutt was named first-team All-Conference, while junior Breonna O’Conner earned second-team honors.

The league announced the awards from Columbus, Ga., the site of this year’s tournament semifinals and finals. The No. 2 East seed Augusta women meet No. 1 West seed Columbus State in the PBC Semifinals March 5.

Augusta is also ranked seventh in the NCAA Southeast Region. The Jaguars are making their first appearance in the PBC semifinals since 1998 and are 20-game winners for the first time since 2013 when Teymer was named Coach of the Year.
