Falcons Sign WR Sanu

Flowery Branch, GA – The Atlanta Falcons today announced that they have agreed to terms with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.


Sanu, 6-2, 210 pounds, was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Rutgers. In four seasons with the Bengals, he played in 57 games with 34 starts, while posting 152 receptions, 1,793 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns. Last season, Sanu played in all 16 games with four starts and recorded 33 receptions and 394 receiving yards. He also had 10 rushes for 71 yards and two touchdowns.


Sanu played three seasons for the Scarlet Knights where he saw action in 38 games with 37 starts and caught a Big East record 210 passes for 2,263 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also recorded 653 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns, and showed off his passing skills by throwing for 207 passing yards and four passing touchdowns during his career at Rutgers.
