Teacher Donates Kidney to Student

A teacher and elementary student in Wisconsin have formed a special bond.

Third grade teacher Jodi Schmidt says teaching is her calling, but she wanted to do something more.

8-year-old Natasha Fuller has a chronic kidney disease. She recently moved in with her grandparents to get treatment in Milwaukee 3 times a week. On average, a person waits more than 3 years to get a match. Her teacher Jodi Schmidt went through tests, to find she shares a special blood type with Natasha. They also share other qualities that could make a transplant successful.
