Richmond County Sheriff’s Office investigators tell us that two people were shot several times during an argument at the home.

Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen confirms that Harry Johnson Jr. died at a local hospital. The other person, Brandon McDaniel is still in a hospital in critical condition.

There is no word on whether or not McDaniel is being treated as a suspect, at this time.

“Obviously, we’ve started off 2016 kinda rough, there’s no doubt. What the Sheriff’s Office is doing, when we can, cases like this, even when we’re not, we’re collecting intel, we’re collecting data. And of course, what you’re going to see is a proactive stance,” Sergeant Shane McDaniel, of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, told us.

The investigation is still ongoing. Count on WJBF News Channel 6 to provide the latest information when it becomes available.
