Augusta, GA– Downtown dining establishments are showing their support of the Miller Theater, and you can, too by eating out next Tuesday, March 22nd.
Participating restaurants, including The Bee’s Knees, Hive Growler Bar, Farmhaus Burgers, Sole Augusta, and Mellow Mushroom – Downtown, are donating a portion of their dinner checks to the Miller Theater campaign. Fat Man’s Café will do the same during lunch that day.
“As a member of Augusta’s theater district and downtown community, we want to encourage Augustans to support downtown,” explains Ansley Easterlin, Miller Development Director. “On March 22nd, the community can support the Miller as well as downtown by simply dining at one of these restaurants. We will be collaborating with downtown businesses and restaurants for years to come. This Dinner for the Miller event celebrates that partnership.”
Symphony Orchestra Augusta is renovating the historic Miller Theater on Broad Street for the future home of the orchestra, its symphonic and Pops performances and a regional performing arts center and music institute with seating for 1300. SOA has surpassed 80% of its $21.1 million dollar capital campaign and is building partnerships with downtown businesses in anticipation of the theater’s opening in less than 2 years.
