ATLANTA, GEORGIA (AP) – Delta Airlines says its flight from Atlanta to Brussels, DL80, has landed safely at the Brussels airport and is parked “remotely” there.
The Atlanta-based airline said in a statement that the officials are working on plans to safety deplane its passengers into a secure holding area.
The Atlanta-based airline added that its flight DL42 from New York to Brussels has been diverted to Amsterdam.
Authorities locked down the Belgian capital Tuesday after explosions rocked the Brussels airport and subway system, killing at least 13 people and injuring many more.
Belgium raised its terror alert to its highest level, diverting arriving planes and trains and ordering people to stay where they were.
