AIKEN, S.C. – Plans to replace Aiken’s York Street Bridge will be up for discussion Thursday.
The northbound side of the wooden bridge has been closed since February due to safety concerns.
Nearby businesses are claiming the lost traffic has cost them revenue.
South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking public input. The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Municipal Building Conference Center, 214 Park Ave. SW, Aiken.
There will be displays and handouts for residents to get an idea of the proposed plans.
