AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta leaders are using The Masters as a driver for economic growth.
That was the focus of Thursday’s annual Red Carpet Tour, put on by state and local chambers of commerce.
The event literally rolls out the red carpet every year for some of the world’s biggest CEO’s.
“The interest here in our community is at the highest level it’s ever been,” Representative Rick Allen Republican (R-Ga) of District 12.
“When you have the masters and you can bring folks to this exciting opportunity that’s unique. It’s a great opportunity to build those relationships,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Chris Carr.
“We have an opportunity as elected officials in government across the region to engage these individuals and talk about how they can potentially be making investments in our city,” said Mayor Hardie Davis.
The annual Red Carpet tour is a Masters tradition in itself – having been hosted for 57 years.
