Major Rager block party benefits Harrisburg community

AUGUSTA, Ga – The Major Rager block party at the Augusta Common Thursday night had guests partying for a cause.

The event was put on by the Friends with Benefits Fund which donates a portion of proceeds to charity. Guests enjoyed fun games, food, drink, and of course live music performances.The founder of Friends with Benefits Fund hopes the event will attract young adults to participate in local philanthropy.  “We aim at artists that are going to pull in from kind of a 18 to 35 year old demo and really try to make it about the charity,” says George Claussen, the founder of the organization.

Proceeds this year are going to the Turn Back the Block Charity, which aims to revitalize the Harrisburg area.
