Bond granted for two suspects in deadly Chaps Lane brawl

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Terry Lee Daniels and Michael Donnell Dean are two of the almost dozen accused of murder in the stabbing death of Dehmajay Bell.

Five of them were previously granted bond. Eyvette Lawshawn Byrd and Quiauna Henley were denied.

In Friday’s court hearing, the state claimed Daniels, 19, did not deserve bond because he can be seen in that infamous video with a table leg or bat for a weapon. Daniels is charged with murder while in commission of a felony — and granted $50,000 bond.

Michael Dean, 20, also in court charged Friday with murder and aggravated assault.

He was also involved in the fight, admitting to his attorney that his weapon of choice was a sock with a video game controller inside. Dean’s bond was set at $35,000 total for both of those charges.

His Mom told our Nickelle Smith that he and Demahjay were really good friends.

Bond hearing dates have not yet been set for Eddie Carter and Demetrius Harris.
