Boil Water Advisory Remains In Effect For Some North Augusta Residents

***UPDATED at 4:22 P.M. on Friday, April 15th***

North Augusta, SC (WJBF) – A water main break in North Augusta was repaired early Friday morning but a Boil Water Advisory remains in effect for residents living in the area around Stanton Drive, Holiday Drive, and Hammond Drive.

At this time, a water quality test is being conducted on the line. Results from this first round of testing will be available by 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Once complete, a second water quality test will be conducted on the line.

Until the all clear is given, residents in the area are urged to boil their water before using it.

North Augusta, SC (WJBF) – Some North Augusta residents’ water is being affected by a water main break.

The break happened in one of the major water pipes in the area around Stanton Drive, Holiday Drive, and Hammond Drive.

Crews have been working throughout the night to have the water restored by sometime Friday morning.

Once the water is back on – those affected will be placed on a boil water advisory. You are asked to boil your water for at least a minute before consuming.
