Augusta, GA (WJBF) – Please join us in congratulating WJBF anchor Jennie Montgomery and photojournalist Jeremy Crocker after they were announced winners of a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Documentary!

The award is for the documentary, “Finding Birth Families: The Struggle To Make Connections With The Past”.

Jennie set out to help a local woman and her brother, after they were put up for adoption 50 years ago. She was able to reunite those long-lost siblings.

With that success, she worked to help others find their birth families, which lead to work on the documentary, which aired.

Others involved in the project were: Jared Stepp, Mike Ludwikowski, Troy Robinson, Stephanie French, and Chris McCarthy.
