Police Chase Involving Motorcycle Turns Deadly In Edgefield County

Edgefield County, GA (WJBF) – A 35-year-old North Augusta, South Carolina man is dead after a police chase involving a motorcycle that started in Saulda County and ended in Edgefield County.

According to officials, the chase began on SC Highway 121 in Saluda County, when a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper tried to make a stop.

The man riding that motorcycle, Beau Mac Mabrey, reportedly took off and continued on SC Highway 121 into Edgefield County. He was pursued by law enforcement.

Marbrey reportedly tried to make a left onto Monument Drive and crashed, at 12:57 a.m.. He died at the scene of the crash.
