Boil Water Advisory Issued For Some McCormick County Residents

McCormick, SC (WJBF) – A Boil Water Advisory has been issued for some residents in McCormick County, in South Carolina.

According to a press release from the McCormick County Water And Sewer Department, residents of McCormick in the Southwind subdivision and New Bordeaux subdivision are affected.

Dirt or debris may have entered the drinking water system due to a main breakage located on Bordeaux Road. Residents in the affected areas should boil water vigorously for 1 minute before drinking or cooking for the next 24 hours. Also any ice made from water that has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.

Officials say the breakage has been fixed and the Boil Water Advisory will end Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.may 3, 2016 at 6:00 pm.
