GROVETOWN, Ga. (WJBF) – Get ready for some big savings in Columbia County as the new Goodwill store is officially open for business. The grand opening was held Friday morning.
Located in Grovetown’s Gateway Center, the building doubles as a retail store and donation center. The new facility is 17,000 square feet with about 35 employees. Goodwill executives say they’re excited about the new expansion in an already booming part of town.
James Stiff, the President of Goodwill Industries of the CSRA says, “I think there’s going to be an explosion of interest at this location. We’ll have more donors and shoppers here than any location we have in the Central Savannah River Area.”
Depending on the success of the retail store, a career center may be added on in the near future. Hours for the store will be Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
