AUGUSTA, GA — The annual Spring Greek Festival returns to downtown Augusta this weekend.
The event is held at the corner of 10th and Greene Streets by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and runs Friday, May 13th through Sunday, May 15th.
Live music, shopping, drinks and, of course, every type of Greek food imagineable are all part of the celebration.
“I invite everyone to come down,” said Marjorie Peake of Augusta, who was attending the Festival for the second straight year. “The music gives you live and of course the food is delicious. The manestra is great. It’s lamb with orzo and feta.”
Gates open at 11 am each day and admission is free.
Other events in the CSRA this weekend include the Aiken Bluegrass Festival, Boss Hog Cook-Off in Waynesboro, Paddlefest, Aiken Charity Horse Show and Augusta GreenJackets baseball at Lake Olmstead Stadium.
