AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – A new report shows home foreclosures in Augusta-Richmond County are on the decline.
The report from CoreLogic says home foreclosures are down from a year ago and have been generally decreasing for the past year.
In March 2016, the foreclosure rate in Augusta was 0.70 percent, down from 0.95 percent in March 2015. The 90+ day delinquency rate in March 2016 was 3.36 percent, down from 3.91 percent in March 2015.
Augusta’s foreclosure rate for March 2016 was lower than the national average of 1.09 percent, but higher than Georgia’s average of 0.61 percent. The delinquency rate was higher in Augusta than both the state and national averages.
