LITHONIA, Ga. (AP) — An Atlanta-area father has been banned from school property after he was accused of fighting two 16-year-old girls who he says were bullying his daughter.
Citing a police report, news outlets say Michael Zellar attacked two girls at Lithonia High School after his daughter said they bullied her.
Zellar tells WSB-TV that he was only breaking up the fight between the girls.
Police, however, say officers saw Zellar punch one of the girls in the face unprovoked.
Zellar and the two girls were charged with misdemeanor battery, obstructing law enforcement and disrupting a public school. The two girls were suspended and taken to a juvenile detention center.
