AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) — An Aiken County man has been charged with the murder of another man who was found dead in his home last month.
21-year-old Gregory Davis Jr. is charged with the murder of 49-year-old Nicky Cockrell.
The victim was found dead in his home on Wire Road on June 7th.
Investigators say they arrested and charged Davis with Burglary and then searched his home.
They say they found evidence connecting him with the murder.
Davis is also charged with 2 counts of Burglary.
He’s being held in the Aiken County Jail.

AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – The suspicious death of a man in Aiken County has now been ruled a homicide.
49-year-old Nicky Cockrell was pronounced dead in his home on Tuesday at 12:07 p.m.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – An investigation is underway in connection to a body found by family members in a residence in Aiken County.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aiken County deputies responded to the 500 block of Wire Road for a report of a deceased person. The preliminary findings of their investigation concluded the death was suspicious in nature.
