Boil Water Advisory canceled for Waynesboro residents

WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WJBF) – A Boil Water Advisory is no longer in effect for the city of Waynesboro.

Water samples have been tested with good results.


***POSTED 7:44 p.m. June 8, 2016***

WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WJBF) – The city of Waynesboro has issued a Boil Water Advisory for its water customers.

A contractor hit a 16-inch water line while installing a fiber optic cable, according to a city worker.

The advisory is in effect while city crews repair and flush the line. The advisory is expected to be lifted sometime June 10.

If you get water from the city of Waynesboro, you’re advised to let it boil vigorously for at least one minute before drinking it or using it to bathe.
