Augusta, GA — The CSRA continues to feel the impact of the situation in Texas.  Leaders across the country and right here at home are talking about ways to bring peace to our land.  They are also extending their sympathies to those who have been in harm’s way.

Reverend Larry Fryer is a longtime community activist in Augusta.  He stopped by the set of The Means Report to talk to Brad Means about recent event.  Reverend Fryer says that his condolences are with those in Texas, Louisiana, and Minnesota. He also said our community needs to get together to talk about ways to improve relations.  He made a special point of mentioning the need to get our young people involved in these types of discussions and efforts.   Brad asked the Reverend who is to blame here-the police or the people?  Reverend Fryer says blame is shared by all people because nobody is perfect.  He reiterated the need for open dialogue to improve our society as a whole.

Reverend Fryer continues his message of peace year-round in the Central Savannah River Area. He has been a driving force in Augusta’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. service. This event brings people from all walks of life together to honor the life and legacy of the civil rights leader.
