Peach Jam quarterfinals featured showdown of nation’s top two recruits (updated)

Updated: Mokan Elite (Kansas) will play PSA Cardinals (NYC) in the 17U Peach Jam Championship game Sunday at 2 p.m.


North Augusta, SC (WJBF) — The nation’s top-two ranked recruits shared the court Saturday at Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta. 7-foot-1 Bahamas native DeAndre Ayton, the top-ranked recruit in the high school basketball class of 2017, and his California Supreme squad faced off against Team CP3 and the nation’s second-ranked recruit, Wendell Carter Jr, who is an Atlanta native. Ayton got the best of Carter and Team CP3 though, scoring 25 points en route to a 74-57 victory for California Supreme.

Here is tonight’s 17U semifinals schedule:

California Supreme vs Mokan Elite (KS) — 7 p.m.

PSA Cardinals (NYC) vs. Team Penny (TN) — 8:30 p.m.

The 17U championship game will be played Sunday at 2 p.m.
