Firefighters injured after warehouse fire in Burke County

KEYSVILLE, Ga. (WJBF) — Burke County fire officials are investigating the cause of a large warehouse fire that happened Sunday morning.

It happened around 10 a.m. at a boat repair shop in Keysville, Georgia on Hephzibah-Keysville Road.

The fire lasted several hours and destroyed the business.

Because of the size of the fire and the temperature outside, four firefighters were sent to the hospital with heat exhaustion symptoms. The Burke County fire chief says the men are all doing okay now.

Nobody was inside the building when the fire started and no other injuries were reported.
