Two dead in Deans Bridge Road accident

BLYTHE, Ga. (WJBF) – A deadly multi-vehicle accident blocked southbound traffic on Deans Bridge Road this morning. Two people have been confirmed dead, according to Richmond County Deputy Coroner Kenneth Boose.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Deans Bridge and Hoods Chapel roads. A burgundy Mercury and a black Buick collided shortly before 8 a.m. Boose tells NewsChannel 6 that 85-year-old Bobby Winters of Hephzibah was pronounced dead at the scene. 78-year-old Murl Winters of Hephzibah was pronounced dead a short time later at Augusta University Medical Center’s emergency room.
