2nd suspect arrested in Subway robbery



The Richmond County Sheriff’s office has confirmed that the man going by the alias Brandon Simmons is actually 23- year-old Howard Maurice Harris. After being fingerprinted and further investigation, deputies confirmed his identity and discovered a

North Carolina probation violation warrant on drug charges.



AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Richmond County investigators have arrested a second suspect in the attempted Subway robbery that led to one would-be robber being shot and killed.

They say Brandon Simmons was taken into custody at the Courtyard Marriott on Stevens Creek Road early Monday morning.

Simmons was arrested after some type of medical episode at the hotel.

When deputies arrived, they say Simmons was discovered with a small amount of meth.

He was later linked to the Subway incident.

He is charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of meth.
