GREENVILLE, SC— Police arrested Former Clemson Quarterback Tajh Boyd on an assault and battery charge after an incident that happened July 14, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Greenville police say a doorman at “On the Roxx” in Greenville said Boyd tried to get inside the bar after he was told they were at full capacity.
The doorman told Boyd that he would have to wait in line like everyone else, reports say.
The bar owner stepped outside and told Boyd to leave, reports say.
Boyd shoved the owner and caused him to fall through the door, knocking him and a woman to the ground, according to reports.
The owner said he didn’t report the incident right away because he had to speak with his attorney first, reports say.
Boyd was released on his own recognizance after turning himself in this morning.
