NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) – The greenlight to start work on Project Jackson could happen next month.
North Augusta leaders say the development agreement will be finalized in the next few weeks.
From there, the city council will have to approve it.
The more than $200 million project includes a baseball stadium, a hotel, shops, restaurants, office space, apartments and homes.
Once construction starts, it will take 14 months to build the ballpark.
The Augusta GreenJackets are hoping to open the 2018 season there.
