Augusta, GA — We tackle a lot of subjects on The Means Report. But few topics impact all of us like our environment. This week we spend time with Richmond County’s brand new extension agent, Campbell Vaughn.
Vaughn may be new to the job, but he is no stranger to agriculture, horticulture, and Augusta in general. He is from here and he takes great pride in making his community the best it can be. That starts with helping others learn to be aware of and interested in our natural resources. Vaughn talks to us about his role in promoting the programs that focus on those resources.
He also is very interested in seeing our youth reach their full potential. Vaughn talks about the role that 4-H organizations play in keeping young people interested in the world around them.
Vaughn also takes time to talk about the Georgia-Carolina State Fair. He will play a key role in the livestock component of the annual event. He shares the pride he feels when he sees young people get recognized for their hard work in raising and showing animals.
We hope you enjoy our interview with Campbell Vaughn. We think you will walk away with a better appreciation of the environmental, family, and youth programs that are available.
