Last day to register to vote for South Carolina and Georgia

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – With 27 days left until the presidential election, time is running out for Georgia and South Carolina voters to register.

For South Carolina, the deadline was supposed to be October 8. However, due to Hurricane Matthew, that deadline was extended. Voters mailing in their ballots must have it postmarked with Tuesday’s date (October 11).

It’s important to confirm your registration prior to this date. Absentee voting by mail will be available through November 4, 2016. If you would like to receive an absentee ballot by mail, a written request must be submitted to the board of elections office.
