AUGUSTA,Ga (WJBF) The group trying to make Augusta commission meetings run better has finished its work

The Rules Review Subcommittee was formed at the mayors direction to look over the city code,   to see if anything could be done to shorten the length of meetings –  and increase harmony.

After months of work the sub-committee agreed to about a half dozen recommendations, but the changes are mostly technical.

”  I think we got some things accomplished if you look at the documentation it hadn’t been updated in years the wording where people questioned it I think we did do some good things there I wish we could have gotten more accomplished obviously the rules are there we need to enforce them I think that goes for a lot of different things,” says Commissioner Sean Frantom who Chaired the Subcommittee.

The recommendations will now head to a commission committee for review and then on to the full commission for a final vote.
