RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – Brian McDuffie, a former Richmond County deputy and now candidate for Richmond County Sheriff, is accusing current Sheriff Richard Roundtree of misusing taxpayer money.

McDuffie has drafted a complaint to the state transparency and campaign finance commission.

He says that Roundtree used uniformed deputies for a political TV commercial while they were on the clock.

He says that amounts to a person acting on behalf of the agency making a contribution to a candidate, which is against the rules.
