Aiken County Sheriff’s Office asking people to vote in contest to win K-9 grant

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office needs your help to win money for K-9 training.

Through Aftermath’s K-9 grant a local law enforcement office is awarded $5,000 dollars.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office wants to use the money for buy equipment and expand on specialized training for canine handlers.

“It’s very important and essential to the daily operations of the Sheriff’s office,” Captain Eric Abdullah, told WJBF NewsChannel 6. “It’s just one more tool, in our tool belt, to help us be a more full service agency.”

The last day to vote is on at midnight on Halloween, October 31.
