Clemson, S.C. (WJBF Sports) — Clemson running back Wayne Gallman says he’s ready to play against Florida State this Saturday after suffering a concussion Oct. 15 against NC State, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgiven the defender who caused his injury.
“I wanted somebody to hurt him that was in the game if they could, but I wasn’t able to be in,” Gallman said of Wolfpack defensive back Dravious Wright.
Gallman clearly didn’t mince words, and when asked, agreed it was indeed a dirty hit.
“You saw he didn’t lead with his hands, he just came with his head.”
The Clemson running back said he blacked out for several minutes following the concussion.
“It was like I went to sleep and woke up. I saw video of myself walking and I don’t remember that.”
Gallman and the third-ranked Tigers play at Florida State this Saturday night at 8 p.m. on WJBF (ABC).
