Man convicted in killing of boxer Vernon Forrest

ATLANTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The killer of Augusta native and boxing great Vernon Forrest has been convicted according to WSB-TV.

Forest was shot and killed outside of a gas station in 2009 in Atlanta.

Charmon Sinkfield was found guilty on Monday on all charges including murder.

Two other men, Demario Crews, the getaway driver, and Jquante Ware, the armed robber, were previously convicted for their part in the crime in 2009 and 2012 respectively. They are both serving life sentences in prison.
