Augusta, GA. (WJBF)- It’s that time of year again for Halloween with a heart. It’s an event Newschannel 6 takes part in every year allowing children with disabilities to enjoy trick or treating safely.
A large number of businesses were at Patriot’s Park in Columbia County with decorated tables and dressed in costumes passing out candy and goodies to special needs children.
Bryan Williams–a longtime participant–says its an event he looks forward to.
“These companies really are the super heroes because they all come and spend their time and their efforts to being candy to them and give them a safe environment and just let them know we love them and I’m going to tell you something special needs children are the definition of love.” Williams said.
