AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – The final Irish Traveler minor was released back to her parents on Friday, after nearly 2 months of being in the state’s custody.
NewsChannel 6 has learned, as part of the girls release, DSS is requiring the minors see a psychologist.
Travelers says the 6 minors were taken because of allegations of sexual abuse and claims that the minors were married.
All the girls were between the ages of 6 and 13.
Travelers tell NewsChannel 6 that DSS workers were out in the Murphy Village community again this week.
We have reached out to DSS several times, a spokesperson says they cannot comment on this case.
