AUGUSTA, Ga.– When you hear the ringing of the Red Kettle bells, you know the giving season is here.
The Salvation Army of Augusta’s Red Kettle Kickoff gets underway at 11:00am Friday, November 11th, at the National Hills Kroger on Washington Road at Alexander Drive.
Stop by anytime before 6:00pm and support your favorite team– the Georgia Bulldogs, Georgia Southern Eagles, Alabama and more!
Your donations change lives right here in the CSRA, explains Ali Scavullo, the Volunteer Coordinator at Salvation Army of Augusta.
“And that money goes to help us support families during Christmas to make sure children have gifts and then it also helps many programs that we have, especially at the Center of Hope, we have our shelter, we have our soup kitchen- 365 days a year.”
You can call 706-434-3185 to sign up to work a red kettle. Volunteers are needed to ring the bells Monday through Saturday, from November 12th until Christmas Eve.
There are many locations throughout Augusta, Evans, Martinez and North Augusta.
